CPAC is a not-for-profit organization that assists both Canadian and internationally trained professionals in starting and advancing their careers, seeking international opportunities, and living a rewarding life in Canada. CPAC has a membership of 30,000. Many of our events are free of charge and open to individuals who are CPAC members and non-members alike, however members enjoy many tangible and intangible benefits.
In addition to our ongoing programs and courses, we have the following major, annual events: Career Development Conference & Job Fair, Education Day & Education Fair, Summer Festival and Annual Gala.

19:30 – 20:30 The Wonder of Human-Computer Interaction: Embracing Ubiquitous Technology to Complement, Scale, and Extend Traditional Healthcare
Speaker: Alex Mariakakis, PhD
This presentation will provide an overview of innovations at the intersection between human-computer interaction and healthcare, including brain-computer interfaces and exoskeletons that assist individuals with severe physical disabilities in controlling electronic devices, and more ubiquitous applications employing smartphones and wearables for signal processing and machine learning to assess a person's health conditions.
