NYC Scratch Educator Meetup - SPECIAL May Edition!

Please join us for a special May edition of our meetup! In collaboration with Logo Foundation and MIT Media Lab, we will have demos from AppInventor, StarLogo and a few other cool programs (stay tuned)! The meetup will follow the usual 'unconference' format and the demos will be an additional module after the breakout sessions.

BRING A FRIEND! We will have a raffle for prizes for those who bring a teacher to the meetup! The educator you bring will also qualify :)

More about the NYC Scratch Meetups...
Meetups will take place throughout the year to provide support and serve as consistent ‘PD’ for in-service and prospective Scratch educators as well as a place for those educators to meet and collaborate.

The meetups will be roughly monthly, includes breakfast and lunch, free to all participants, and can qualify for PD hours :)

The BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) meetup will:

• share strategies for integrating Scratch into classroom practice
• explore the core ideas underlying Scratch
• self-organize into different interest groups and hands-on activities
• introduce you to ScratchEd (http://scratched.media.mit.edu/), the website where educators share their Scratch ideas, experiences, and resources
