Scratch Meetup - Sept 2014 Edition

Hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather.

A new academic year is fast approaching and we're excited to announce the first Scratch Meetup of the year! We will follow the traditional 'unconference' style, where participants decide the topics of the breakout sessions.

Creative Computing
Karen Brennan, Christan Balch and Michelle Chung of ScratchEd and Harvard Graduate School of Education have just released a fantastic new curriculum guide for Scratch 2.0 (http://scratched.gse.harvard.edu/guide/) "The guide can be used in a variety of settings (classrooms, clubs, museums, libraries, and more) with a variety of learners (K-12, college, and beyond). No prior experience with computer programming is required, only a sense of adventure!"

We will dig into the guide together to explore ways we might support one another in implementing some of the curriculum in the coming academic year.
