Hi everyone,

Thank you so much to those who came out last Saturday for the first Scratch Meetup of the school year! We had a great turn out of new and familiar faces. We are excited to announce that we have a very special guest joining us for our Oct meetup.

Mitch Resnick, LEGO Papert Professor of Learning Research and head of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab, will be here on Oct 26th! (http://web.media.mit.edu/~mres/)

The meetup will follow the traditional unconference format where the participants decide what the agenda will be for the day. Mitch will give the opening remarks titled "Give P’s a Chance: Projects, Peers, Passion, Play." You will all have a chance to ask him questions about all the amazing things he does during lunch after the breakout sessions.
