And on St. Patty's Day we'll be celebrating with free green beer and wine for this theatrical staged reading occasion.

Shopping and F**king, by English playwright Mark Ravenhill, is considered a prime exemplar of British in-yer-face theatre of the 1990s. It explores what is possible if consumerism supersedes all other moral codes. To this effect everything, including sex, violence and drugs, is reduced to a mere transaction in an age where shopping-centers are the new cathedrals of western consumerism.

I love that Nicole Stodard works so hard to bring fascinating experiences to us so close to home. I also was not comfortable with some of the accents and found them distracting. And after - lovely people... fun dinner.

the 5 stars are for this amazing meetup group and his organizer who exposes us to an array of events from the more refined and classic ones to the quirkiest, like Shipping and F**king. The dinner the followed the meetup was even more hilarious than the reading itself with many S Patrick themed jokes and plenty of laughs. For a moment I thought I was back to the high school days...

I enjoyed the play itself for being a very, very poignant reflection of our so-called "civilized" society or certain aspects of it. Nevertheless, as for the reading performances there were quite good ones. However I would have liked either native British actors (a bit unfeasible) or an adaptation of the script to the American accent and corresponding lingoes. But overall I'm glad and thankful I got to experience this great work by Mark Ravenhill. As for our part 2 meetup, I enjoyed "Lola's" Irish jokes a lot as well as those from the rest of us with the right vibes to spend a relaxed, casual good time without the judgmental insecurities that one might encounter with the wrong crowd. But oh part 3 was intimate and the setting very cool, with good beer to go with it :)

I enjoyed the performance. The actors ad actresses read the lines with such passion and effusiveness and it's amazing how talented they are to be able to do what they do, especially with such difficult and adult subject matter. The themes of the play really reflect some of the struggles we have in our society and I felt compassion for the characters. The performance was captivating. Thank you G for putting these events together which really are enriching. If it wasn't for the group, I wouldn't have known about many of these productions. I've also met some very nice people and it's nice to have angroup

I really enjoyed the energy and effusiveness that the performers displayed. They are very talented to be able to memorize lines and express those
lines with such passion, especially with that type of subject matter. The themes of the play and the messages seem to be things that our society struggles with and I felt compassion for the characters. Anyways thank you G for putting this meetup together because so far I've enjoyed all the performances, many of which I would not have known about without having come across this group. I have also met some very nice people and it's nice that there is this type of meetup down here in south Florida. Thank you .
