Scuba Diving at Caye Caulker in Belize with Ken

Ken visited Belize for 3 weeks from in January 2011.  In addition to scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and "Househunting International" at Caye Caulker in Belize, Ken got his PADI certificate and did several dives including the World Famous Blue Hole. He also went to the Lamanai Ruins up river in mainland Belize and a spent few days in San Pedro. He likes Caye Caulker so much that he is an "Unofficial Virtual Volunteer" of the Ocean Academy high school in Caye Caulker.

Come and join us for the first presentation of our third season!

Well done, Ken! It was a thoroughly-enjoyable presentation, and you certainly raised the bar for other presenters by including underwater video of your vacation. I might just have to go to Belize one of these days and see if all that you reported is true.

Brian... Sounds great. I would go back there again, 2012 in between contracts. Next time.. Will do the sailing trip and hopefully buy a piece of land there. I think if you check the details. They are not Calgary-Houston-Belize or require over-night stay in Houston.

Recommend Tina's backpacking Hostel But I did not stay there.
Party at Lazy Lizard and Raggie Bar. Rent Kayak from Tsunami Boats. Italian food at Sandros. Missed the Raggamuffin Sailing tour - 2 day island hopping sleep in tents in island -
Buy lobster, couch from Fisherman's coop and make you own dinner. Rosie is a very pupular restaurant.

Ken, you covered Belize from underwater to the rooftops of the Mennonite pre-fab houses. Thanks for the diving tips, the real estate lowdown and your good sense of humour!

really interesting. Thanks Ken !! I really enjoyed the dive videos, hearing about the houses, and there were plenty of pictures and pieces of video to show what he was talking about. Enthusiastic speaker who really enjoyed the location. Seeing and hearing how things were really helps to paint a picture of what it's like in a location.

It was what I expected, some small bits of advice in the overall story of Ken's vacation. Nice to hear of a real example about what to expect
