Mindfulness is a way of paying attention that originated in Eastern meditation practices. It has been described as “bringing one’s complete attention to the present experience on a moment-to-moment basis” and as “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” The ability to direct one’s attention in this way can be developed through the practice of meditation, which is defined as the intentional self-regulation of attention from moment to moment. Mindfulness is increasingly used in many fields because it reduces stress and interpersonal tension, and enhances interpersonal relationship, well-being, emotion regulation (depression, anxiety, and anger), self-regulation, creativity, and decision-making capability. This group is open to anyone who wants to learn meditation or enhance the quality of life, both beginners and those with experience.

Facilitated by Mi Ae (Grace) Jeon, who has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from YeungNam University in South Korea, along with experience in many clinical areas, and has practiced mindfulness in individual daily practice and varied intensive programs and association activities.
