This is considered one of the top 10 backpacking Trips in the world. There is gorgeous scenery, but it will be a demanding and challenging trip as there is lots of elevation gains and loss with long distance on the trial. You will need to carry heavy loads over varying terrain. This is not a trip for beginners or individuals without excellent fitness. Expect to be sore and tired.

Day 1: Sunshine Parking Lot to Magog campsite (33.7km)

Day 2: Nub Peak and Sunburst Valley/ Assiniboine Pass

Day 3: Wonder Pass area/Og Pass/Windy Ridge

Day 4: Magog to Howard Douglas campsite for night stay (22.3km)

Day 5: Howard Douglas Campsite to Sunshine Parking Lot (11.4km)

We will be starting our hike the first day at 6:00am, We will not be waiting for people at the Sunshine parking Lot. please be on time and ready to leave.

It is the your responsibility to make sure you have acquired all necessary equipment, clothing, and food for this trip. All outdoor activities involve a certain degree of risk, so it is up to you to be prepared, resilient, self-reliant, responsible, cautious, and aware of surrounding hazards. As well, mountain weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for unforeseen changes. For safety reasons, if you show up for this event unprepared or with inappropriate clothing and or gear you will not be permitted to continue on the trip. Organizers are not guides.

Magog campsite cannot be reserved. IT cost 10 dollars a day (cash). Reservations have been made by the organizers for Howard Douglas campsite. you are not on the trip until you have paid the organizers there are no refunds. Drinks and snacks can be purchase at the lodge ( you will need cash for this). Trip members will be responsible for setting up their own car-pooling prior to the trip start date. We may be stopping in Banff for hot springs and dinner after the trip. If you are not interested in participating, please make arrangements to car-pool with others not attending, prior to the trip start date. MANDATORY PRE-TRIP MEETING: To be announced at a later date.

A wilderness pass is required for the night at the Howard Douglas (you need to purchase this ahead of time).
