Now that you are a Mom (or Dad) of a preschooler, toddler or baby, do you sometimes find yourself wondering what happened to your old friends? Perhaps you'd like to make more friends who understand your time limitations? Or maybe you're new to Calgary and need to make a few good friends that don't mind your kids being around sometimes?
Because Playgroup Meetups are often too distracting to really get to know a new friend...
This group provides a way for all of us with children under the age of 6 to make new, close, and truly lasting friendships with other Moms and Dads. After all, "my kid is my life", but we still need a little adult life on the side!
[b]Nearly ALL of the meetups are without the children[/b]. The aim is to forge strong new friendships for OURSELVES, not just for our kids. (Playgroup Meetups are often too distracting to really get to know a new friend.) Some meetups are for Moms only, and some are for couples, such as potlucks or movie nights.
NOTE: THIS GROUP HAS BEEN REORGANIZED to be 99% COOPERATIVE - RUN BY THE MEMBERS.
IMPORTANT: You will be required as a member of this group to plan and host one Meetup per year within a designated month.
Please read the "SEPTEMBER 14th Group Restructuring" posting in the Message Board to read details before deciding to become a member.
After you sign up, pls click on "Polls" on yr left so that you can tell us the best times, etc. for you.
