About Calgary Photography Group

All photographers and photography enthusiasts are welcome. We are about learning, socializing, and generally finding cool places to shoot. We've grown into a very active group, with a large solid core of regular members. We have enough passionate photographers in our midst that if you can think of something to shoot, there will almost always be CPMG members willing to go.


We are a active group. Many of our events are photo shoots, held nearly every week in the Calgary area and beyond. But we also hold workshops, slide shows, print swaps, and other activities. We hope these events will encourage our members to take a deeper look at photography, to learn new techniques, and, most of all, to enjoy their hobby among enthusiastic like-minded individuals


We have a wide range of skill levels, from first time camera users, to seasoned professionals. You will find that everyone is happy to share the knowledge that they have, and that questions are always appreciated.


New faces are always welcome. We have a solid core of regular members, but are always absorbing new regulars into the group.
