Dear all,
As we had promised to all our Artist and Creative members that we will have more arts related events, we are happy to announce today that Cambridge Game Creators (CGC) is now an official "Adobe Community" in Cambridge and the east of England - http://camgames.groups.adobe.com
Adobe is the global leader in digital media and marketing solutions. Their tools (which include such products as Photoshop and Illustrator) together with their services enable customers to create groundbreaking digital content, deploy it across media and devices, measure and optimize it over time, and achieve greater success.
An Adobe community is a community where people who use Adobe products in one way or another learn from each other, talk about their experiences, and share ideas in relation to their use of Adobe products. An Adobe Community also provides a direct connection between the local community and Adobe as a large company - this presents many opportunities.
The benefits of being part of an Adobe Community (and if you are receiving this email via CGC then you are already one) include monthly presentations and talks about Adobe products, hearing the latest news about these products, having a chance to win free brand new Adobe products, being invited to official Adobe presentations, and more.
For our first "Adobe" presentation, we are running a two part workshop together with Anglia Ruskin University which kindly provided us with a venue and computers equipped with Adobe software products. This two part workshop focuses on making games for multiple devices using only Adobe products.
Caner, who is a member of our network has published such a game for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry using Adobe products; and he will be teaching us how he made this possible.
In the first part of this workshop, he will introduce the attendees to these tools and in the second part (to be announced later) he will show us how we can do the same in practice; a hands-on approach!
Please be informed that there are only 25 places available. So sign up as soon as you can if you are interested.
This event is supported and publicised by Creative Front Cambridgeshire (http://www.creativefront.org/) which supports and promotes creative practitioners and creative businesses.
