Clojure show and tell

The first of what will hopefully become a regular monhtly meetup for anyone with an interest in Clojure. We'll meet from 7.30pm at Makespace for introductions and set-up. From 8pm onwards we'll have a series of lightning talks (5-10 minutes each) where members can show a library or application that highlights a useful Clojure library or language feature, or tell an interesting story about how they are using Clojure.

If you've been working on something cool you'd like to show off, please come and tell us about it. There's no need to prepare a formal talk: a live demo or walk through your source code will do. If you're new to Clojure and want to know more about how people are using the language, please come along to find out.

We'll move on to the Mill pub for drinks afterwards.

Thank you Ray for arranging a nice meetup, and everyone else for attending!

A few of us briefly talked about deuce () at the pub, I'd recommend watching the following talk by Håkan if you're interested:

I find it a very inspiring project.

Also, anyone who'd like to take a look at makespace should come along a bit early at seven, there's a twice-weekly tour session (see)

Makespace should be quite lively that Thursday so no problems getting in - if the doors aren't open ring the bell, if it's not me answering it say you're here for the meetup in the classroom and that I'm hosting it. You can find our front door by finding the Mill, then looking for the obvious makespace sign in the car-park just over the road (next to the university sports and social club)
