Team Code-off

  • September 11, 2014 · 7:00 PM

A little light competition for a change. We'll split into teams of 2-3 to tackle a coding challenge. Each team will write an AI to interact with a web server (via GET and POST requests) to solve a puzzle. Use the programming language of your choice. At the end, we'll ask the top few teams on the leaderboard to explain their approach. No prizes, just a warm and fuzzy feeling for completing the challenge.

We'll meet from 7pm for introductions and organizing teams, and start coding at 7.30pm.

It was great to see you all this evening, it was particularly interesting for me to see the evolution of a Haskell solution - thanks, Nick!

I'll leave the server running for a week or so for those who want a bit more time to finish their code. If you couldn't make it to the meetup, feel free to tackle the challenge in your own time: http://bit.ly/ndpchallenge

For those interested in the server-side implementation behind the challenge, the code is available on GitHub https://github.com/cam-clj/treasure-hunt

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
