The Liberated Feast

Yes its back, the tasty event raising awareness of GLobAl FOod WaSTe! The 3RD Liberated Feast creates another a beautiful 3 course Vegan banquet for over 100 lovely people from surplus produce that would otherwise be wasted. Produce sourced from Farms, Markets, Veg box schemes, Local producers, Allotment holders, Foraging and Retailers. Please bring a bottle if you would like a tipple on the night, water will of course be provided.

Local musicians and entertainers will complement the delicious food with their fabulous sounds and sights, and a small market area will host local food and organisation stalls.

In parallel to all this proceeds from the event go to supporting a school feeding project on for the Milimani School on Kenyas Rusinga Island. Raising funds to build ,staff and support a kitchen to provide the children's entire daily nutrition and create a school permaculture food growing space. The cost is £5000 and so far we have raised £1000 and are already supporting the schools breakfast feeding programme.

The Liberated Feast Project is also developing an educational programme, working with schools and communities to explore the global food system and create their own Liberated Feasts.

I love the idea behind this! I don't know anyone in the group yet so will be looking out for Oscar and/or the placard :)

Y'all, I'm going to be volunteering in the kitchen at this event, and I believe Louise is also doing this. I'd like to meet you guys on arrival though and help to make sure you get a table together - can you look for me when you arrive, or look for the placard in the reception area? If you're running late or you're lost feel free to contact me on[masked]
