Leveraging SharePoint 2010 as a Social Platform
Details
That SharePoint provides a proven technology for enterprise computing is of no question, but has SharePoint 2010 come far enough to be considered a social platform or Enterprise 2.0 solution? Drawing on best practices through key successful case stories, David & Jay will review your options for turning SharePoint into a truly social platform. This session will focus on a series of key social collaboration business cases solved through collaborative interaction and social networking: find experts/resources, mentors and mentees, network, find mentors and mentees through rich profiles; have interactive, real-time discussions; co-author documentation, white papers and proposals; share experiences and personal knowledge with others; replace the social water cooler for geographically dispersed teams.
Jay Leask supports Booz Allen’s efforts to provide clients access to Enterprise 2.0 technologies through IT strategy by focusing on business needs, existing infrastructure and change management practices for “successful” long-term engagements. Jay specializes in defining functional requirements, delivery of a strong business case, and analyzing vendor platforms for platform selection.
