Abstract Planning a SharePoint implementation is very important, both from a financial/physical resource and knowledge management perspective. Knowing how to combine the most basic information elements into a design can help you implement a working product pragmatically and functionally, rather than blindly. We’ll discuss basic topology and planning of SharePoint 2010, as well as implementation.

Bio James Tramel is a Solutions Architect with Planet Technologies. SharePoint is a product that I deploy, configure and customize regularly for a variety of clients in different sectors. I know a little bit about a lot of different technologies, which I’ve found useful in this endeavor. I’ve also been diving headfirst into Forefront Universal Access Gateway and Identity Manager lately where it’s relative to SharePoint and Microsoft Cloud Products. I currently hold the MCTS and MCITP certifications in SharePoint 2010 from Microsoft.
