Ski Mammoth / Gamble in Reno!
Have a "Mammoth" ski/sliding experience with a "side bet"this year at the Reno NV "Peppermill" Casino
January 29 - February 5, 2012
You are invited to travel with me for this trip that has been organized by the Ski Club of Washington DC. This trip is expected to be comprised of 32 participants for destinations to Mammoth Mount, CA and Reno NV from 1/29/12 - 2/5/12 (Sunday to Sunday). Thirty-two feet average of snow blanket the mountain normally between November and June. This season the first big dump of 19 inches arrived on 7 October 2011.
Mammoth covers over 3,500 acres of amazing High Sierra terrain, with over 150 trails - wide open bowls, steep chutes, tree-lined cruisers, terrain parks and half pipes that draw skiers and snow board riders of all ages and abilities (Terrain: 15% expert, 20% advanced, 40% intermediate, 25% beginner). Group ski rentals and lessons are available.
A SCWDC favorite – we will be staying five days at the Alpenhof Lodge, with daily continental breakfast. A short walk to the adjacent gondola drops you on the mountain, with a four out of five day lift pass attached to your jacket at for Mammoth Mountain.
During the day you can rest and visit many of the slope side après heated sundecks and fireside bar/restaurants. There’s also the complimentary “beer goggle bus “that will drop you off to the village with scheduled bus services to explore the greater Mammoth region.

But there's more. There is also a secondary Nevada trip included. When we depart Mammoth on our way home we’ll have a two day stay at the Peppermill Casino in Reno and a Saturday bus skiing excursion to the Mt. Rose ski area if your energy returns and you've had enough casino action at the Peppermill or elsewhere in Reno?
Please contact trip leader for a payment schedule.
