Loved the books? Loved the movie? We did too! Let's re-enact the Games, right here in Seattle! Bring your best Katniss or Peeta impersonation.

HOW THE GAME WILL WORK:

Everyone starts out in a big circle. A BIG circle.
Everyone will be wearing flag football flags. Imagine these as your life. Other people will be trying to pull them off of you, so protect them! Run, hide, climb a tree, form a pact with other players, do whatcha gotta do to stay alive! :)
At the sound of the whistle, game is on. You can't move until the whistle, or you lose!
The winner of the game is the person with the most flags stolen.
Each game will last exactly 30 minutes (we'll likely play several in a row). People that haven't stolen a flag yet by the end of the game automatically lose. You can't hide the whole game. And, to ensure that we all don't spend the whole game hiding in trees or bushes, the organizers will be walking around trying to steal your flags as well. Think of us as the "game designers" and imagine us running at you like the giant fireballs from the movie.
If you have a grill, BRING IT! There will be at least two, and after the Games, we're going to have a BBQ. Bring your own stuff to grill/share.

DON'T FORGET:

RSVP accurately.
We will play rain, snow, or clear skies.
Be on time.
Bring $2 to cover the cost of the flags. We have to buy 110 of them!
Bring your own food and drinks to grill/share.
