Rancho Santa Fe Exploration (A, B, and C groups)

As the folks who ride with Heather regularly know, she loves a Rancho Santa Fe ride. While there are fewer bike lanes out there, there are also fewer cars, more interesting terrain, more shade, and pretty scenery. We will be offering A, B, and C groups. Routes and group speeds are outlined below.

A Group Route (average speed on mixed terrain 16-18 mph) This route twists and turns through Rancho Santa Fe, with a variety of short hill challenges.

Strava Route:  http://www.strava.com/routes/262508

Distance: ~46 miles

Elevation: 2484 ft
TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS (A&B)

B Group Route (average speed on mixed terrain 14-16 mph)
Route is same as listed above for the A group.

C Group Route (average speed on mixed terrain 12-14 mph)
This route introduces the quiet, shady, beautiful roads of Rancho Santa Fe to the beginner and intermediate riders. There are a few shorter hill challenges on this mostly flat route.

Strava Route: http://www.strava.com/routes/61700

Distance: ~35 miles

Elevation: 1493 ft

TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS (C)

NOTES: Please bring an extra tube, CO2 cartridge or hand pump, and enough fluid and snacks (suggestion: two bottles minimum for the longer ride, and two snacks). Helmets are always required, and we obey all traffic laws.

Hope you feel better soon. You can always opt for the shorter route on Saturday to ease back into things.

We will do it again! Thanks for leading today. I hope you made it back ok. I was going to wait up for you all on Gilman but the group decided it might be best to keep going.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
