Coast South to Carmel Valley Rd and back via the coast, or the 56 to RSF
Details
This Saturday we will be going south on the coast, to Carmel Valley Road and then old Sorrento Valley Rd, and then up Carmel Mtn Rd, then we will explore a new neighborhood both A and B groups. B will do a fun little loop and head back the way they came to the coast and Carlsbad. A will end up going east on the 56 bike path and head back via Camino del sur and Ranch Santa Fe,
We will also have a beginner C ride this week, just an easy 20 miles down the coast to Del Mar and back with Starbucks at the end. If you have been wanting to try out the group but weren't ready to try one of the longer routes, or have been off for awhile with an injury, this is the ride for you.
A Route:
46 miles, ~2500 ft climbing

B Route: 39 miles, ~1700 ft climbing http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7970955
C Route: 20 miles, 500 ft climbing http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7962714
These routes are definitely much less hilly than last week but still scenic with just the right level of challenge.
NOTES: Please bring an extra tube, CO2 cartridge or hand pump, and enough fluid and snacks (suggestion: two bottles minimum for the longer rides, and two snacks). Helmets are always required, and we obey all traffic laws.
Our rides are no drop, and we make every effort to find the right group for you. There are three group leaders, with the following general average speed guidelines on mixed terrain:
A Group: 16-18 mph
B Group: 14-16 mph
C Group: 12-14 mph
