Java for Complete Beginners

Details
TechieChic is starting to launch various development track series in 2014. Since there are introductory tracks dedicated to Ruby, Python and PHP at other meet-ups, we decided to add Java to the mix.
If you're looking to learn Java in a collaborative setting, we're going to follow the Udemy course "Java for Complete Beginners."
Prior to our first meeting, please complete Section 1 of the curriculum. We will begin with Section 2. You can enroll in the course here: https://www.udemy.com/java-tutorial/#/
Why should you join us?
For starters you won't have to go it alone. We can help you be accountable for your learning. Also, you'll receive assistance from someone with development experience to help you "think through" the solution not just copy and paste. We will also have a dedicate portal for you to present questions between meetups.
Do I need to have development experience?
No. But you need to know how to navigate your computer.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself, Laptop, Pencil/Pen and Notepad.
Are you serving Mimosa's?
Of course, a meeting isn't complete without some mid-day bubbly. But there will be non-alcoholic beverages served too.
