Weekly discussion of the Collected Works of Dr. Carl G. Jung.
Details
Donald L. “Skip” Conover will lead a weekly reading group on the Collected Works of Dr. Carl G. Jung. This reading group will begin with some of the basic concepts of Jungian Psychology, including individuation, personality types, archetypes, the collective unconscious, psychic energy in the opposites, synchronicity, and Dr. Jung’s views on various “mystical” divination techniques, such as The Tarot, séances, and the I-Ching. After we have completed some of the basic texts for laymen, including Man and His Symbols, and Memories, Dreams, Reflections, we will move into a couple of general books about Dr. Jung’s work, including Women Who Run with the Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Goddesses in Everywoman and Gods in Everyman by Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen, Psychic Energy by Dr. Esther Harding, and The Origins and History of Consciousness by Dr. Erich Neumann.
Participation in the Reading Group is free. We recommend a $10.00 donation to the Gampopa Center as a facilities fee.
