We are a neighborhood inter-church inter-denominational bible discussion group. Though we have a diversity of backgrounds, we are all interested in learning more about what the Bible has to say and its relevance for today.
The format of our group is a facilitated discussion. That is, each meeting, we read and discuss one chapter. We have discussed Mark, Acts Romans, 1st Corinthians, and James. We've also taken a quick detour through the Christmas account according to Matthew and Luke. Most recently, we've done a survey of Proverbs, then moved into Ruth and spent a good part of the year in Genesis. We've recently started the gospel of Matthew (attributed to Matthew/Levi, one of Jesus's 12 Disciples).
We'll be meeting at the Borders Bookstore at Walnut and Buck Jones. We start our meeting at 7pm and usually meet for approximately one hour.
Since this is a weekly meeting, some people do not always RSVP on the meetup site, but still show up (we've been seeing about 7-10 people each week). Feel free to check out our group.
