Why: The expense of being hosted at meetup

Cascadia Outpost is a chapter of the Fanforce USA, Pacific Regional Division. We have been around since June 2003 on Yahoo groups and decided to try meetup.com to promote this group further. Our base of operations is in Snohomish County, Washington. Though we often plan activities in the greater Seattle Metropolitan area.
We are a rag-tag band of Sci Fi and Fantasy fans who enjoy SF collecting, movies, books and television.
We plan fun activities and convention trips at our regular monthly meetings, and just chat about collecting, SF, Steampunk, Fantasy and Anime media.
