Cassandra vs HBase and exploring Cassandra failure modes

Details
This month we are continuing the "Cassandra vs" theme of last month by taking a look at HBase. We're lucky to have Nick Telford (https://github.com/nicktelford) talking on the subject who has used both Cassandra and HBase in a real "big data" production environment at Datasift (http://datasift.net/). We will also be looking at Cassandra more closely, examining how it deals with various failure modes. This talk will be given by Richard Low (http://www.acunu.com/team/richard-low/) from Acunu (http://acunu.com/) who big data experts and offer professional support (http://acunu.com/products/training/) for Apache Cassandra.
In addition to the talks there will be, as usual, plenty of opportunity to meet other Cassandra users and enjoy robust discussions around NoSQL.
Schedule:
7pm Arrive, enjoy the free beer and pizza
7.30pm Talk: Richard Low on Cassandra failure modes
8pm Talk: Nick Telford on HBase
8.30pm Finish up, head for the Slaughtered Lamb for more discussions
Please register on the Skills Matter website (http://skillsmatter.com/podcast/home/cassandra-hbase/js-2527) so that we can plan the right amount of beer and pizza.
