A small group of women, referred to as the "Ladies Who Uke" were taking lessons with Killian Mansfield in 2009. Killian passed away in August, 2009, following a 5-year cancer battle. George Koury, a very talented ukulele player (and Tiny Tim's cousin) -- also a dear friend of Killian's -- graciously offered to guide this group. We continue to meet to share ukulele music and basic techniques on the first Sunday of every month. We welcome ukulele enthusiasts of ALL ages to play a wide range of music together. If we meet at a restaurant, buy food/drink there or leave a big tip or both. If we meet at Casa Babs, no fee--unless we all agree to save up to get a fabulous workshop presenter to lead the group.
