Good ride.....Lynn, Jerry and I did a little extra. We weren't sure where we were but we were never lost. Thanks for the extra Jerry.

I'll bring some cheese and crackers to munch on after the ride. Since this is a large group, does anyone else want to bring something - you might pass a farm stand on the way - does anyone want to pick up some fruit?
After the ride can we discuss what you'd like to see for future rides?

Side note: What are your thoughts on a ride to an apple orchard sometime next month?

Ask a question, share something, or leave a comment...
I asked the wrong question. I should have inquired as to how rough the trails are, and how much up and downhill is there? I would ride on fairly smooth dirt roads, but not bumpy paths with tree roots and stones. If I did join the group, I'd most likely jump into the pond afterward for a swim.

It's not a mountain bike trail, you will enjoy it.

We're not hard core riders. Worst case situation, we stop and wait for you at a mid point. we do this all the time because we would rather ride with you and have fun than not.

I am in. Will swim and hang at beach after until 4pm. Beer is good. Not bringing food except for snacks because it will be too long in hot car.

I'm good for a quick picnic OR a stop at a pizza joint that has beer. Or anything similar.

I'm in no rush - guess i'll bring more than the bike

I may be interested in a picnic. Beer and grinders? I can make beer but cooking is still a mystery to me. :)

Hello - is a hybrid bike okay for these trails or is a mountain bike recommended. Also, I see there is a freshwater swimming beach at the park -- anyone planning on a swim afterwards?

    August 16, 2013

    • Nancy M.

My bike is a hybrid and I haven't had any issues. Not sure if I'll swim but is anyone interested in a picnic after the ride?

      August 16, 2013

    • Jerry R.

I am glad that I have a mountain bike for one or two spots but a hybrid should perform well.

I am not familiar with Whitehall. If I travel on 122 from Worcester is the entrance to the park on my right? Then a sign will direct me to go left to Whitehall?

    August 13, 2013

    • Jerry R.

yes. then first lot on the left.

    Hi Mary,
There are a number of trails. So we can make a decision based on what people want to do.

  • Mary

How many miles are you thinking of. I'm not sure if I am familiar with this trail.
