Beer Brewing Robotics using Cylon.js & Raspberry PIs

Details
Homebrewing beer has been my hobby for the past 3 years. Over that time I have gone from the most basic Mr. Beer 2.5 gallon batches to 5 gallon all-grain brewing. From the pain bottling 20 to 50 beers at a time to kegging, which is allot faster and easier. I began wondering what’s next for my homebrewing hobby? How can I get a more consistent result? How can I make better beer with less effort? How can I integrate more automation and control into my homebrewing setup?
In this presentation I will give you a quick intro into the processes involved in brewing beer at home. Next I will discuss "Homebrewing Ops" and how I’m slowing adding automation and control into my existing setup using my "Hack & Brew" iteration cycle. Then I will give you an intro into Cylon.js and dive into examples of the current state of my homebrewing robots running on RaspberryPIs. Finally I will close out the presentation with a discussion about the "Open Homebrewing Project” an OpenSource effort to spec hardware and software for an automated homebrewing system.
Especially for this occasion with the help of my homebrewing robot @BrewTronV1 we have brewed 5 gallons of "Raspberry Weizenbock” for you all to enjoy. If you look up @BrewTronV1 on twitter you will see all of the updates it has given me throughout the brewing process and a link to the recipe.
