The 9-12 Project was unveiled by Glenn Beck (a nationally syndicated television and radio talk show host) during his nationally-televised "We Surround Them" television program, which aired live on March 13, 2009, on the Fox News Channel. This project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked, we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States, or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created.

This particular meetup group was created to reach out to all of those in the central Illinois area who yearn to help this country return to the principles and moral values upon which it was founded. This group and a multitude of others forming all over the country are part of a non-partisan, nationwide effort designed to unite Americans in commitment to the 9 Principles and 12 Values that made our nation great. (Please see our "About" pages on this website for more information regarding the 9 Principles and 12 Values.)

We are organizing our members into small groups so we can educate ourselves regarding the 28 Principles of Freedom that our Founding Fathers said needed to be understood and perpetuated by all future generations of Americans in order to maintain peace, prosperity, and freedom. The book we are initially using in studying these principles is The 5000 Year Leap. Each group is utilizing the same study guide/curriculum, which is published by the National Center for Constitutional Studies (www.nccs.net). We believe that this focused education will help us develop solutions to the problems facing our country today. Know that the Central Illinois 9-12 Project Group does not -- and will not -- focus its sole efforts on protesting. We all know that our country is in the midst of troubling times; and the act of protesting merely confirms what we already know. Rather than expending our valuable energies on protesting, we are actively working to develop solutions to our country's problems -- not merely to complain about them. This is an important distinction that we believe sets our group apart from many others.

If you would like to participate in a small group, please select the small group location of your choice and RSVP for that group's upcoming meetup. Please select and RSVP for only one small group (each of which can be identified by the small group facilitator's name in the meetup's title), as seating space at some of the small group meeting locations is limited and we want as many members as possible to be able to participate in the small group of their choice. Most small groups will meet on a weekly or semi-monthly basis.
