Wednesday Central Phoenix Writing Workshop Meetup

PLEASE NOTE! Due to people/things beyond our control the overflow parking that was in the lot on the SW corner of McDowell and 3rd Ave is no longer available! Please park in the Hob Nob's Lot or somewhere down 3rd Ave!

Due to the success of the group, we are adding another half hour to the beginning of our Wednesday meeting. The first half hour will be a time to organize and exchange ideas. If you have content to share, please present it to one of the moderators by no later than 6:45PM. We will begin reading and critiques promptly at 7PM.

This is an informal gathering every week that is designed to promote feedback on work, and to highlight the strengths of one's work as well as offer ideas to improve weaknesses. Attendees are encouraged to bring pieces to read that they are comfortable sharing. Poems, Essays, and stories are all fair game. Generally, anything over 4-6 pages will be read over several sessions. We recommend bringing extra copies if you can.

The general flow is some gab time at first. Then people will read the works out loud (or ask someone else to) one at a time and usually ask for feedback. Some people want help with their work, others might just want grammar lessons. If someone has lots of feedback, it is usually best to mark up a copy and hand it back.

The meeting generally lasts about two hours. If someone has to leave early, let everyone know so your work can be read first.  Likewise, if you will be late but intend to read, let the moderators know in advance.

Thank you, Jacob, for your annoucement last night of my about-to-be published new book "The Hallelujah Baby" which was workshopped at Central Phoenix Writing Workshop. I am extremely grateful for the wonderful reception that annoucement received.

Hi everybody! Please note that the unfortunate lack of parking still persists. You can park at Haven/Eccentricity (just east of Hob Nobs on Mcdowell), Hob Nob's itself, or one of the off streets on 3rd Ave. See everyone soon!

Just a heads up, Andrew and Cam can't make it tomorrow night so if anybody wants to moderate now is the perfect time to grandfather you in

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
