Learn how to protect your data in the cloud and practice encrypting it in 30 minutes or less with Server General (http://www.servergeneral.com) and CenturyLink (http://www.ctl.io)!
Have you ever wondered how leading businesses protect their sensitive data in the cloud? Does your business need to meet compliance requirements by using encryption solutions? Are you interested or curious about encryption and cloud technology in general? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, join your fellow cloud and security enthusiasts at the the 2nd CenturyLink User Group technical meet up on Wednesday, August 31st from 4:30pm to 7pm at "The Roof" of the Broadway Hotel for food, drinks and hands on, technical exercises to practice encrypting your data in the cloud!
What will I practice at this event?
Bring your laptop to learn and practice:
• How to deploy workloads to the public cloud through automation
• How to protect data within 30 minutes
• Data protection options, principles and best practices around things like role based access and secure databases
At the end of this event you will have a better understanding of how cloud security tools can be applied to multi-tenant models in the public cloud in order to mitigate security risks.
What business problems does this solve?
Moving sensitive or regulated data to the cloud opens questions from security and compliance teams about data access, audits, and control. Encrypting data in the cloud enables your IT team to:
• Set data access policies
• Audit all file access
• Prove control through encryption and key management
Join us to learn how to demonstrate to your security and compliance teams that intellectual property, personally identifiable information (PII), electronic protected health information (ePHI), cardholder data (PCI DSS) and other sensitive data is safe and always under your control.
