Details

The Christchurch Atlassian User group (AUG) is a place to learn best practices from fellow users of JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, etc. Atlassian tools are not just used for software projects anymore; our AUG encourages cross pollination of Atlassian practices between Christchurch tech and non-tech sectors.

We meet in the BNZ lounge at EPIC in CBD. The format is participatory. You are invited to give a short presentation on each topic, or you can sit back and listen and then talk individually to other Atlassian users over food and drink.

  1. What is a JIRA project? How you define a JIRA "project" has implications in future team communication and build processes. When you configure JIRA, how did you decide to define what a project is? Some groups have a separate JIRA project for each team, others a separate JIRA project for each repo, others a separate JIRA project for each product. For others, they define their JIRA project to be exactly the same as their PM's project. How did you decide to define a JIRA project? And how did it work out?

  2. Case studies. If you would like to present your application of Atlassian tools in your organisation, please prepare a 5 - 15 minute presentation (with or without slides). Overview, what you hoped the tools would do for you, and a few lessons learned for the group.

This event is sponsored by 2 New Zealand Atlassian Experts: Techtime and Venduco.

We are trying a new venue this time, more central and slightly earlier start.

We will focus on JIRA more during this discussions but feel free to bring up any questions about other Atlassian products you'd like to explore.
