I love to read, but more than that, I love to meet new people! I haven't really found a lot of close friends since moving to MN in 2006, even though I have a lot of great acquaintances. I look forward to meeting everyone!
Work can be unpredictable, so late evenings are best if it's weekdays. I am starting my MSW in the fall and I already know that I have class on Tuesday and Wednesday nights starting in September. I would love to see some weekend dates. Another meetup that I was in switched days so that different people could participate instead of having the same day every month. Or, if there were lots of people, there could be 2 dates per month in case lots of people couldn't make the first one.
I love everything except ROMANCE. It's hard to talk about mystery books because they usually don't have a lot of issues. Chick lit is usually not the best for book clubs because there isn't a lot of meat, either. If you're ever looking for recommendations, I am really good at picking books! I was an English major in college and worked for Borders for seven years. I know LOTS of good authors.
I really toyed with whether to join or not. I joined one once before and just no one showed up. Basically I'm joining to meet people. I have lots of great acquaintances since I moved to MN in 2006, but not any good friends, and I mostly meet people through work. I really, really love to read and I'm excited to meet other women who also enjoy this pasttime.

I also picked Steve Job's!!! I truly appreciate how easy he made my life! :) Looking forward to meeting you!
Hey Devon when it's time to get your house painted give me a call! [masked]
Hi, Devon. Thanks for the greeting. I have an assessment for bipolar scheduled for next week but my psychiatrist already started me on meds for it and it has made a huge difference for me, too! I'm taking Abilify.
My name is Sarah I just joined the group.
I read that you are unemployed, I am too. I was wondering if you get disability or know anyone who does for bipolar? Sarah
