Calling IT professionals with skills in software development, system administration, and UX/design.

Charity-IT hackathons bring together IT volunteers to work on several charities' IT problems for the weekend. For the charities, the free access to IT expertise even for just a weekend is hugely valuable. For the volunteers, it's a one-off of opportunity to use their skills for good, without the time commitments of a regular volunteer role.

To find out what the Charity-IT hackathons are about, and what kind of projects you could be working on for the weekend, come along to our information evening on Thursday 12th February, 6pm at a location to be confirmed.

The Charity-IT hackathons have helped charities such as the Wellington Soup Kitchen, Kiwi Community Assistance, UN Youth, and the Wellington Night Shelter. We are looking to run another hackathon in Wellington on the 27 February - 1 March. Register for the hackathon on eventbrite (https://charity-it2015.eventbrite.co.nz) or attend this meetup to find out more.
