Originally from the South Bend area, my brother and I decided to start this meetup group in Charlotte to meet other college sports fans in the area and celebrate the successes and failures of Notre Dame Athletics. Outside of athletic programs in North Carolina, there are Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Iowa bars in Charlotte. Jim and myself (Mike) are die hard Notre Dame football fans (the university was in our back yard) and want to establish a home base for Notre Dame football games. We know there are other Irish fans in the area and would like to expand our presence here in the Charlotte area. All Irish fans are welcome. I am not a graduate of Notre Dame but have many family connections to the University. All grads and non-grads are welcome. Join this group if you want to meet other Notre Dame fans in the area, plan tailgates, discuss recruiting, and plan a road trip to an away football game this year in 2011.
