New Meetup: Objectivist Axioms

From: Bill Van F.

Announcing a new Meetup for Charlotte Philosophy Discussion Group!

What: Objectivist Axioms

When: Sunday, February 14,[masked]:30 PM

Home of Rick Pasotto
5211 Glenham Dr.
Charlotte, NC 28210

Those of us at the last meeting expressed an interest in developing a deeper understanding of the axioms of Objectivism, considered by Objectivists to be the foundation of all knowledge. What do these axioms actually mean? How do they contribute to our understanding of the world, and what effect do they have, or should they have, upon the way we live our lives? Everyone is invited to enter into a beginning of the discussion on the message board, so that by the time of the meeting we will be able to achieve even deeper understanding of the issues involved.

Everyone is also invited to contribute ideas for future topics for our meetings. Some have wondered whether we only discuss Objectivism. We are open to any topics. Because Rick is so knowledgeable about Objectivism, there has been a natural tendency to utilize him as a resource, but we all, including Rick, feel quite okay about exploring any philosophical topics. We generally decide at the end of a meeting what we will discuss in the next meeting, but even if you are not able to attend, your ideas are welcome, and the message board is always a place for the discussion of any philosophical topic.
