The Charlotte Anime/Manga Society (CAMS) are a group of people who enjoy Japanese Comics (Manga) and animation (Anime). You'll see our normal activities as fairly regular meetups to discuss the world's anime/manga topics, anime viewing session and sometimes cosplay workshops if you want to work on a costume. We also try to get out an enjoy Japanese culture that go beyond the anime/manga topic with events for Charlotte's "Bon Odori" festival as well as dine outs to Sushi restaurants or ethnic Japanese Restaurants occasionally springing up from time to time as well.
While we enjoy these things, we acknowledge that there is more to life than just Manga and Anime and we try to include other activities that break from traditional norms of the hobby we practice. If you see an occasional Tennis or Bowling outing along side our viewings, don't be surprised. We like to get out there and have fun too. :)
The group in general is geared towards the 18+ crowd. If you are younger than this, and would like help in perhaps starting your own Anime/Manga club for your school or with friends, email us and we'll see what we can do to help you establish a group of your own.
