Bio: Russell Pavlicek has spoken over 75 times at Open Source events. A Linux user since 1995, he was an Open Source columnist for Infoworld and Processor magazines, as well as a former panelist on The Linux Show weekly webcast. He has over 20 years experience delivering software services. He currently employed by Citrix Systems as evangelist for the Xen Project.
Talk: It is no accident that Xen Project software powers some of the largest clouds in existence. From its outset, the Xen Project Hypervisor was intended to enable what we now call Cloud Computing. This session will explore how the hypervisor's architecture addresses the needs of the cloud in ways which facilitate security, throughput, and agility. It will also cover some of the hot new developments of the Xen Project, including the use of unikernels to create lightweight VMs with the nimbleness of Linux containers, but with extremely high levels of security.
Corey Garst

Bio: Corey has eight years of experience in information technology with a focus on Linux and mobile security penetration testing. In addition, Corey possesses in depth knowledge of all aspects of IT administration and progressive rock music.
Talk: Review and lessons learned about 2014's major security vulnerabilities for Linux systems. Topics will include Heartbleed, Towelroot, BadUSB, Shellshock, and Poodle. All levels welcome. Bring your questions - these are two subject matter experts in their fields and are happy to help.
