创业周末是一个全球性的草根运动，有创业抱负的人们致力于学习如何创业，以便成功创立新的企业。自2011年以来，富有热忱的创业者们，已经在100多个国家举办过超过400场活动，是最大的创业者社团组织。
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 1800 past events in 120 countries around the world since 2011.

所有的创业周末活动都遵循这些基本模式：任何人都可以来分享创业点子，并且得到朋辈的反馈。一个个团队从最好的点子中被创建起来，所以这是一个54小时的商业模型创立、编程、设计和市场验证的密集过程。活动的高潮在于，团队将在本地的企业家领袖面前展现他们的成果，并且得到切实的评判和反馈。
All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.
