A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

Yes, several.

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

Have about 8 years paddling. I paddle year-around, with and without company. I am pretty safety conscious, well equipped, and have taken a number of classes and symposia.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

Fiberglass composite NDK Romany Surf, Necky Elias polyprop, Current Designs Solstice GTS Kevlar.

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

Umm, I guess I'm one of the "real crazies." Actually, any paddler with more than one boat is probably treading in the crazy zone. I'm also an avid hobby photographer.

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

I'm a social paddler.

Always up for a new adventure!
