Hi, I am Vanessa Moses the creator and founder of The Cooking Chicks! We are a community of professional women who love to eat, create, cook and share our love of food! Whether you like to cook or want to learn or just like to eat - our group was created to inspire and connect talented home cooks, chefs, food entrepreneurs and anyone who calls themselves "Foodie" - we just ask you always come hungry!

I honestly always loved to entertain but actually hated cooking - crazy for some to believe, right?! But something hit me 2 years ago when all of a sudden I got inspired to just try and cook! I grew up in a home where dinner was ALWAYS ready so I never had to think about what was I going to eat. But now that I have been on my own in Chicago for 9 years and recently married to an avid cook I thought let's give it a try!

I realized over time cooking was my outlet and relaxation from the stress of my full-time real estate career. Cooking for me has become a burning passion and sincere love. Since starting The Cooking Chicks in March 2010, I have not only gained amazing skills and cooking ideas but each and every "Cooking Chick" I meet inspires me to keep this going and perfecting my skills as well as growing my recipe box!

I hope The Cooking Chicks can bring you something - whether it be sharing your talents and coveted tips and recipes, to making friends, and growing your food lover network!
