so, by this time Saturday- we should be on our way home from MO and the auction with some frenchies on board! I have to tell you that you all are the best support team anyone could hope for!! You have all rallied with donations, volunteering, fostering, helping bath on Sunday, toys, beds, collars and so much more that you have moved me to tears!! I can't thank you all ENOUGH!! We could not have even thought of doing this if we did not have the support of this group. I know some of you reached deep into your pockets at a time when economy is pinching all of our pocketbooks hard- I can't thank you enough! Whether you donated $5 or $1000 -(yes, we actually had one person donate a check for that much)- we are extremelly thankful and grateful as we will need every penny for getting what dogs we can and for vet car, beds, and anything else these little frenchies will need! We already had some really nice new and gently used collars and coats that we are taking with us to get these frenchies warm and safe once in our possession! The youngest going on the auction block is 2 1/2 months old- yes, a female for future breeding! The oldest is a 6 1/2 year old female. I can't wait to tell you all about our trip and share the experience with you. If you are around Sunday- PLEASE stop in over at Soggy Paws at 2514 W. Armitage- just west of western next to Intergrative Pet Care -we will be there starting at 1pm with the frenchies we bring back to bath them, shower them with human love and for their foster parents to pick them up. We also have a vet that has donated her time to come and do a quick look over them all and see if there is anything any of them need asap. Please keep in mind that some of the dogs we bring back may never have had a lot of human attention and may be shy. It usually takes about 2 weeks for the dogs to warm up to humans and finally realize they are about to live a whole different life inside on a soft bed or on a soft warm human lap! Some of them have never played with a toy in their lifetime- they have NO IDEA what a toy is even! So we welcome everyone to come and meet the dogs we bring back- this Sunday- hopefully- I will be awake still or have gotten a nap in somehow between to 2 11 hour drives and the auction itself! We DO KNOW that we are bringing back 6 females that were going to go on the auction block but with the help of an inside source with FBVillage- we will be getting them instead of them being auctioned off to another round of breeding! YEAH!!!! By this time Saturday, I will have called either Lynne or Kathy with an update to post on the message board of our meetup site about how many dogs are coming back with us- so keep an eye out for updates! Thanks to everyone - we could not have done it without all your help!! Hope to thank many of you in person Sunday when you come and meet the dogs we bring back!
