Yes. Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving dinners, walks for charity, and working in several capacities at different events for churches and seniors. And as much as I wanted to volunteer for the Nov. 17th Bears game concession stand (mainly because it's my birthday and I really wanted to get out to do something worthwhile), I'm currently fostering some orphaned kittens and one of them needs almost round-the-clock attention. Hopefully I'll be more available in the coming weeks though. : )
I don't worry about a persons day-to-day actions. Even if they seem all good, it's what a person does when nobody is looking that makes them who the really are. To me, moral fiber means doing unto others as I would have done to me and helping others weaker or less fortunate even though it may not be beneficial to me and may even be fairly difficult or inconvenient for me to do so.
I've lived either in Chicago or the south 'burbs for the majority of my life, but I'm currently in Hammond, IN so I'll most likely take public transportation into the city for most events.
I love animals, but enjoy all kinds of volunteering.
I'm currently pursuing a Nursing degree so I don't find myself having much time to get out and meet new people, but I love helping others. Being naturally shy doesn't help either.
