Details

If you were at last month's Meetup, we modeled a water bottle using Sculpt and Patch environments. We're planning to continue in that direction, add some detail and work on a new, different model.

Come join us to learn everything you need to know about the Sculpt and Patch environments in Fusion 360. We'll take a look at creating freeform models in the Sculpt environment, and either converting them to solids, or working with them as surfaces in the Patch workspace.

Additionally, we'll take a deep dive into the Patch workspace - that elusive surface modeling environment in Fusion 360 that you may have never entered. We'll walk through a few different Surface modeling workflows, and discuss the advantages they have over solid modeling.

Bring your laptop with Fusion 360 installed, as well as your appetite!

If you're just starting with Fusion 360, you will still be able to follow along through these exercises, but you might want to watch an intro video and become more familiar with the user interface before the meeting. There are plenty of online/webmeeting based tutorials (https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2851030728192791043?source=FB) and demos run by AutoDesk, you can find them through Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Fusion360/) or AutoDesk's site (http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview).
