Pythagorean Heritage &/or Category Theory

Here are couple topics that would interest me. 1) What does the pythagorean tradition contribute to contemporary mathematics? How would modern mathematical innovations be viewed from a Pythagorean perspective? 2) Category theory has transformed mathematics in numerous ways. There must be a dozen categorical topics that would be of significant interest.
