Lunch & Learn Option Income Trading with Josh Fabian

Details

Josh will be doing a webinar to show us how he trades options for income supplementation. Josh's trading style works well for individuals that have full time jobs, as Josh has. That is why this webinar is scheduled during lunch time.

About Josh Fabian:

I became interested in investing when I was twelve and made my first investment at the age of fifteen. I bought Pillsbury and shortly thereafter, they were bought out. I doubled my money and was hooked.

I began trading options about fifteen years ago before most of the modern technology I rely on so heavily today was available. Had you asked me then who “The Greeks” were and I probably would have said people from Greece. Much of what I did was short-term equity trading with some options mixed in.

I now trade options exclusively and primarily look to sell premium but will buy options when I feel they are underpriced. I am a strong believer in the TastyTrade approach for those familiar with it. However, I frequently use charts and Fibonacci ratio’s to look for entry and exit points.

I own a company called Plain Talk Investor (PTI). Plain Talk Investor actually began in 1983 by my cousin, Fred Gordon, who was a very successful investor. He had an ability to make complex financial jargon understandable for anyone. PTI ceased publication back in the early 90’s and I am now in the process of relaunching it.

Currently, I send out a nightly newsletter that offers a recap of the day, what I’m seeing and what trades I’m making while also trying to mix in some humor. In the near future we will launch a weekly recap/outlook and quarterly update.

We are in the process of building out a website that will have among other things, intraday commentary, and educational content that I will provide. My litmus test is if I can get my dad and daughter to understand what I’m explaining then anyone capable of fogging a mirror should be able to understand as well.

Outside of trading, I am a single father of three living in Mundelein. I am also a paraplegic and until recently played basketball as far back as I can remember. I was a five-time varsity athlete at the University of Illinois. I was the starting point guard all four years and we won a college wheelchair national championship my senior year. My fifth letter was in track but I realized it was really just a lot of turning left and quickly lost interest. I have also played on several USA Basketball teams both during college and after.

My undergrad is in Journalism and Master’s is in Strategic Intelligence.
