This group is intended to create a forum for PHP developers in the city of Chicago. In true open-source fashion I hope that PHP Users can come together in forums and in meet-ups to share ideas, thoughts and practice to advance the LAMP community as a whole.

If you are a PHP developer, looking to get into PHP, part of a company using the LAMP stack or are just curious about new web development practices then you should definitely join and attend our meet-ups. We will have monthly presentations from some of Chicago’s most talented developers and people from some of Chicago’s best known companies.

I formerly ran the LA LAMP Meet-up group and increased the average attendance of the meet-ups from 20 to around 220 in a year. Now that I am in Chicago I am looking to do the same here.
