Hard to believe it's been a year since our last cruise. What a great time we had! The Daily Dot did a write up about it, and a lot of good times were had (And why not? We were on a boat!)

This year is going to be even better! For one- we got a bigger boat. This time we can hold 165 redditors! Last yearwe raised $1,027 to fight Cystic Fibrosis, but I think we can crush that this year. What is Cystic Fibrosis? You should go check out /r/cysticfibrosis to find out!

Time for those sweet juicy details!

Time of departure will be 7:00pm Friday evening, November 15th for a 2 1/2 hour cruise. Be there at 6:45pm or risk missing the boat!

Dress code will be "Classy/Nautical." That means you can either dress in your sunday best- OR come dressed as some kind of aquatic thing (pirate, skipper, gilligan, merman- you get the point) or some combination of both (classy gentleman with a pirate patch? Why not!) As always, facial hair is welcome. Those of you with magnificent beards know who you are. The weather will be chilly, so dress warm! Like your mom said- you can always take layers off!

This event is 21 and up. Please bring your state ID!

Please feel free to bring snacks but glass containers will not be allowed on board.

Beverage wristbands for beer, wine and house cocktails will be available at the door for $25. Please bring cash to keep the line moving!

Parking: you can park at 111 E Wacker Dr. and they will validate you for up to 4 hours at $14 total (of course if you drink- please don't drive home).

Location (for GPS) will be 112 e. Wacker. It's on the southeast corner of Michigan ave. bridge on the river level. You'll be looking for a blue awning and a Chicago's First Lady sign.

Ok got that out of the way- now he's the most important part- so please listen up.

This event is to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We ask that you RSVP only if you have pledged to donate. I'm going to give you a link to a form in a little bit that you can go to and make your pledge. Once the list of RSVP's has been completed, I will email a link to where you can donate.

How it works: The people that pledge the highest donations will guarantee their spot on the boat. For example, if 200 people RSVP, we will be confirming only the 165 people with the highest donations. Our suggested minimum donation is $15 per person. If you RSVP with a +1, please plan on a minimum of $30 for donation to the CFF. Just filling the boat with $15 donations means we will raise $2,475- but we can do better than that, right?

Here is the RSVP form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Mj27Lje54nj_xdWKcl4vY0XfZTtai-YUMrXXdABEhWg/viewform

Thanks again to Chicago's First Lady for hosting this event! Happy Cruising!

Is everyone dressing classy or nautical? I do have a ton of eyepatches I could bring.....

Bring them. Nothing makes drinking on a boat more fun than impaired depth perception.

Hmm, I may be interested in one of those eye patches. My vaguely classy ensemble might be in need of some nautical flair. :)
