The MegaHike is well worth the money! The group that my sister and I were with were very friendly and helpful -- which I believe is what kept us putting one foot forward in front of the other when we were all very tired and hungry LOL! Our guides were fabulous. John knows his Starved Rock history and of course knows the trail/canyons very well and was always positive. The other two guides were exceptional in that they chose to help one of our struggling group member. I knew I was going to see the wonders of nature, but it was a lovely surprise to see the wonders of humanity as well. It made for a great experience.

Lunch was great (turkey sandwich, fabulous granola bar, bottle of water, chips). I'm going to wear that t-shirt with pride, and pinning my certificate on my board at work. Awesome day out!

Thank you to Laura, Jewel, Matilde (funny!) and Tony (inspirational!), and to everyone else who either extended their hand or hiking sticks to help everyone across puddles!

It was a beautiful hike! My phone had trouble so I couldn't remember which building to meet and ended up with the 9:30 group. I made it the entire hike and will a nice massage today to recover :)

Everyone worked together as a team to get through some of the rough spots! Gorgeous day with really sweet people! Now for that pedicure and massage that I so badly need!! :)

Amazing day, saw a lot of beautiful things, while we opted out of the whole hike, 8.4 miles was enough, loved it :)

    FYI:

    1. There is one open spot due to a cancellation.
Call them to snag the spot, if you want to attend.

    2. Wear hiking boots/shoes that are waterproof as there will be some creeks to cross.

(Thanks for letting us know, Jewel!) With the rain forecasted, the waterfalls should be gorgeous. Take pictures and upload them! :)
