Winter Adventure Indoor Camp – Pokagon: Indiana State Parks’ Winter Wonderland

Winter Adventure Indoor Camp Trip – Pokagon: Indiana State Parks’ Winter Wonderland

Pokagon is Indiana State Parks’ winter wonderland, with cross-country ski rental; sledding, ice fishing, hiking, and a twin-track toboggan run... “What a thrill!”… That's what you'll say once you've experienced the quarter-mile, refrigerated toboggan run at speeds of 35-40 mph.

Pokagon State Park is about a 3-hour drive from Chicago.

We will be staying in the indoor group camp on Lake James. It has 2 bunk houses (North and South) that sleeps 18 each, Counselor's Cabin that sleeps 16, a kitchen and dining room with a fireplace, a shower building, and a craft room. The cost will be $50 for 2 nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, Saturday dinner, and firewood.

The South Bunk house will be designated as a "Women Only" bunk house. It is the one closest to the shower building and the parking lot.The North Bunk house is the unmarked rectangle on the top of the map.
